Video: Metro cop saluted for helping school pupil cross the road
Many social media users heaped praise on the Metro Police officer for showing commitment and dedication to their duties.
A DURBAN Metro cop has been applauded for helping a school pupil cross the road.
In a social media post which has about 95 000 views, 65 shares and just over 130 comments, the officer’s actions have received praise.
The post was made on Wednesday (June 3), and in the shared video the Metro Police officer is seen holding the hand of a school pupil at a crossing.
According to the video’s caption, the captured moment happened on St Johns Avenue and Bamboo Lane in Pinetown in the afternoon.

Many of the comments heaped praise on the cop for showing a commitment and dedication to their duties.
Asanda Mahlobo commented: “Metro can be really helpful sometimes. I remember my first time going to UNISA, Durban campus, getting lost and I asked one of the Metro guys. He took me all the way from Workshop to the main entrance of the campus.”
Mpumelelo Mngadi commented: “Mbovu. He is an epitome of what a great person is when he lives from his heart.”
Miranda F Willis commented: “I can commend them too. My daughter crosses this road to and from school, she say they very helpful.”
