Win a ‘spooktacular’ experience at Malvern CPF’s Trick or Treat

Families and motoring enthusiasts are in for a day of entertainment at this year's Halloween and car show event in Queensburgh on Saturday, October 31.

COSTUMES, candy and cool cars are set to take centre stage as Malvern gears up for a spooktacular day of Halloween fun and community spirit at the Malvern Community Police Forum’s (CPF) Trick or Treat and Car Show on Saturday, October 31.

The event sponsored by The IM LOVED Group of Companies will take place at Parkside Primary School grounds in Hyde Avenue, Malvern, Queensburgh, from 10:00.

Children are encouraged to dress up in their favourite Halloween costumes and enjoy the festivities, while vehicle owners can showcase their pride and joy at the car show.

Malvern CPF chairperson Kevin Pillay said the event aimed to strengthen community relationships while promoting safety and awareness.

“Community safety is about bringing people together and building a community where people care for one another. We thank The IM LOVED Group of Companies for their generous sponsorship and invite everyone to join us in celebrating our community while supporting our #ENDGBVF campaign,” said Pillay.

The event will also highlight the CPF’s #ENDGBVF campaign, which calls on residents to stand against gender-based violence and femicide (GBVF), support survivors and promote respect, dignity and safety.

Pillay said the CPF believes community safety requires more than crime prevention, with active participation and strong partnerships playing an important role in building safer neighbourhoods.

Residents from Malvern, Queensburgh and surrounding areas are encouraged to attend, bring their families and support the initiative.

General admission costs R20 per person, including adults and children. Car show entry is R200 per vehicle, including one occupant. Additional occupants will pay R20 each.
