Great service at Pinetown Home Affairs

"Thank you Home Affairs, Pinetown."

EDITOR – My husband and I had to renew our passports at the Pinetown (Home Affairs) office recently. It was with trepidation that we went there, having heard many reports of bad service.

We were very pleasantly surprised, however, as there were security guards while we waited and the people waiting were so friendly, we had a very pleasant time in fact.

Once allocated a number and allowed inside the building we had to queue. The service was good, but we were aware that there was a shortage of equipment and lack of space, which led to a long wait.

We were treated with kindness and respect at every step of the procedure. It took exactly one week for our passports to become available and – a big plus – our new IDs were processed at the same time.

Thank you Home Affairs, Pinetown. Keep up the excellent service and hopefully you will be given more equipment soon.
