What you use to brush your pool interior will depend on what the pool is made of.

For plaster lined concrete pools you can use a stiff brush. Fibreglass or vinyl walls will require a gentler approach and the use of a soft brush to prevent scratching. Mosaic tiled pools also need extra care with brushing to prevent the degradation of grouting.

Brushing is the first step to loosen any dirt clinging to the pool walls or floor. Sediment which has settled after a long period of standing stagnant, or organic matter like algae can be loosened and lifted so that they can be vacuumed up by the pool vacuuming system.
