“This time around, we would like to cast our nets even wider in order to shed more light on this rising problem in our society where our women and children are constantly becoming victims of human trafficking. If we are able to shed light on this epidemic, we may have the ability to curb the rise of this issue.

“We are passionate about the social impact that every single one of us can have on this world to make it a better place,” he said.

The movie that will be shown on the day is Sound of Freedom which is based on an incredible true story and which shines a light on even the darkest of places.

“After rescuing a young boy from ruthless child traffickers, a federal agent learns the boy’s sister is still captive and decides to embark on a dangerous mission to save her. With time running out, he quits his job and journeys deep into the Colombian jungle, putting his life on the line to free her from a fate worse than death.”

The movie will be shown at Nu Metro Pavilion on Saturday, September 23 at 17:00. Tickets cost R88 and include popcorn and a drink.

Sanelisiwe Tsinde

My name is Sanelisiwe Tsinde, and I'm a mother of two boys and very family-oriented. Being a community journalist for years, I can proudly say I love writing about positive community news articles and giving a voice to the voiceless. Seeing people getting assistance warms my heart. Every day is a different challenge and a new learning opportunity. I supply news for our trusted publication weekly, and a few years ago, Caxton ventured into online publication, so I contribute daily to the websites. I could say I am a multimedia journalist, and working in a community newspaper is beneficial as we do not focus on one thing but we do a bit of everything.
