Carmen is a sporting star
Kloof Senior Primary School's SPAR Star of the Month for November 2013.
CARMEN Vicent was chosen as Kloof Senior Primary School’s SPAR Star of the Month.
She was chosen for her prowess on the sports field and for her many achievements she has made since starting at the school.
She is currently in Grade 6 and is the vice captain for the KZN Coastals U12 hockey team, part of the U13 KZN softball team, was placed third in the SASAKZN Primary School champs for javelin, has been in Kloof Senior Primary Schools 1st hockey team since Grade 5, was part of the school’s swimming and athletics team, was in the first team for water polo and in the U12 soccer team.
She said her passion is sports and hopes to one day play hockey for South Africa.
At the moment she plays water polo twice a week and hopes to go to the PSI in Cape Town.
“Hopefully one day I will be able to join South Africa’s Olympic hockey team,” said Carmen.
Her favourite subjects at school are science and geography.
