Hillcrest High remains undefeated on cricket field

Hillcrest High School's 1st cricket team won six out of seven matches they played. The other match was rained out.

HILLCREST High’s 1st XI cricket team has had a superb season, remaining unbeaten.

Of the seven matches they played, they won six and one was rained out.

Head of sport, Patrick Windsor, said that, while some matches had been close, the team has also had some resounding victories. He congratulated the team for brilliant performances all round as well as cricket coach, Terence Boyce.

The school won by seven wickets (Kyle George 3/6, Nipho Methula 4/7) against Pinetown Boys; won by three wickets (Nikolai Klewinghaus 3/10, Kallan George 50* not out) against Port Shepstone; won by 109 runs (Brandon Heim 114* not out, Tyrone Ferguson 3/27) against George Campbell; won by nine wickets (Kyle George 6/19, Kallan George 4/21) against New Forest. The game against Thomas More was rained out.

Hillcrest High School won by 71 runs (Robin Smith 46, Kallan George 4/27) against Kloof High School and won by nine wickets (Kyle George 3/19, Tyrone Ferguson 3/12, Robin Smith 54* not out) against Kingsway.
