Villagers touch base with community
Rugby club interacts with the community at the Shongweni Farmer's Market.
WITH the aim of creating awareness about their club, members of the Land Rover Hillcrest Villagers Rugby Club were at the Shongweni Farmers’ Market on Saturday, informing the community about who they are and what they offer.
The club’s Danielle Audibert said, “Since we moved to the Durban Shongweni Club, people have lost touch of where we are and what we are doing. Our aim this season is to get our local community behind us to back the Hillcrest Villagers Rugby team. By signing up, one would receive news about our games and future events.
“We would like to thank Christine Standeavan, owner of the Shongweni Farmers’ Market, for her support and for sponsoring the club a stand. We would also like to thank our sponsors, Land Rover Durban and Envirosan, for supplying us with all the equipment needed for the stand.”
