Local school supports Open Door

John Wesley School donates R4500 to local NPO.

THROUGH its fundraising efforts, John Wesley School was once again able to give back to the community.

The school recently handed a cheque for R4500 to The Open Door Crisis Centre in Pinetown. The amount was raised through a Civvies Day held at the school to garner much needed funds for this worthy cause.The Open Door Crisis Centre works very closely with John Wesley School and Mpho Makhetha, a counsellor at the Centre visits the school every Thursday to counsel pupils in need.

John Wesley School principal, Mrs Helen Birchall, praised the Open Door Crisis Centre for their dedication and commitment to the community. She also thanked Mpho for her role in making a difference in the lives of the John Wesley School pupils under her care.
