Katlehong author hosts first book launch

Local pastor and author Noko Mochosa (41) is inviting residents to his book launch for his debut published book titled Your Failure Is Not Final on November 27.

Mochosa has previously written material that he never published.

He is the founder of I Believe Ministry in Maphanga Section, Katlehong. He said his book comes after his personal encounter with failure.

He explained that failure will typically push any average human being to a slump of depression and suicide.

However, the book focuses on our Godly inspiring journey, reminding us that God’s strength is made perfect in our weakness, he added.

“Failure affects us in our daily lives, but we need to remember that all things work for the good of those who love and are called by God,” said Mochosa.

He started writing the book in 2019 after experiencing failure and seeing how he was treated by his circle of pastors as a result of it.

“After I went through my divorce, I realised how people can write you off,” said Mochosa.

“During that time, I was just praying in my small circle where I was hiding, saying to God I did not want this to come to my life because when I got married, I knew that only death would separate my wife and I, but things happened along the way and it pushed us to divorce.

“I prayed to God to help me. I remember one day reading the book of Micah 7:8, saying, “Do not gloat over me, my enemies! For though I fall, I will rise again,” he said.

Mochosa said his preaching has always focused on restoration and revival and he thanks God for that.

“One day, I was praying and I heard God talking to me, saying, with the little power that you have you can continue with your journey.

“That motivated me to write this book. I remember around that time, I wanted to run away from the ministry and relocate because that is what failure does to you, you want to hide your failures.

“With this book, I am sending out a message of hope and courage to the global community.

“The book will help you to understand why God does not chase away his failing children but restores them. God does not start afresh with us but rebuilds us,” he explained.

“Do not waste your energy trying to fix your past, but focus on your future. What you spend time meditating upon will overcome you. Always remember, even broken crayons still colour.”

A copy of Your Failure Is Not Final costs R200, including delivery. It is also available on Amazon. You can expect a R50 discount at the book launch.
