Katlehong’s new modelling agency to host fashion show
The SK Agency and local fashion designers will host their first K1 Fashion Show in Katlehong.
Local clothing brands, in partnership with the SK Agency from Twala Section, Katlehong, invite Kathorus residents to the Katlehong Fashion Show at Short Twala Park near Lethukuthula High School on April 27.
Samantha Khumalo and Khanyisile Ndhlovu founded the modelling agency in February this year.
According to SK Agency director Tebogo Moeng, establishing an agency began as a dream for Ndhlovu, who is also a model, and the dream turned into a reality after she won the Miss East Rand title in 2021.
“Inspired by her, we decided to open an agency in Ekurhuleni to develop models and help them pursue their dreams. This initiative means to teach and groom aspiring models but also show the diverse clientele that they are skilled and talented models who they can partner with for campaigns and other things,” said Moeng.
He said they have partnered with local clothing brands to organise their first fashion show.
The guests and attendees can anticipate seeing local designers like Clean, African Prince, Kaboom, Ndlovukazi, Cheese, BlackSims, BoyDandy and more.
Moeng said the programme director for the day will be Mnaka The King and that their make-up artist, Talitha Nobhongwana, will ensure everyone looks beautiful.
“Ward 55 Clr Lucky Zikode is expected to grace the event with many other esteemed guests. If you are a fashion enthusiast and a lover of good music, you would definitely want to be at Twala on April 27,” he said.
The entertainment line-up includes Last Button, Leolla, NK, Siwe, DJ Mthithi and Smiley, and Sakhile Ngwenya, among many other DJs and performers.
