Blind author speaks at coffee morning
On Friday, June 27, the Friends of Modderfontein Library will host a literary coffee morning with guest speaker Leanne Hunt.
Leanne is the author of “Jozi Gold”, a contemporary women’s fiction novel about infidelity and life-affirming choices. She is passionate about personal growth.
Notwithstanding the fact that she became legally blind at the age of 17, Leanne achieved an honours degree with distinction in English from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
A Johannesburg resident, Leanne is a qualified crisis counsellor and believes the loss of her sight has given her a deep compassion for other people.
Leanne will have books available for members of the public to purchase, which she will be happy to sign.
The event takes place at Modderfontein Library in Queen Street, Modderfontein. Refreshments will be served at 9.30am and the talk will begin at 10am. Cost is R20 a person and members of the public are welcome.
