Cage fighting at Carnival City

TWO long-awaited EFC (Extreme Fighting Championship) Africa title clashes will take to “the cage” at Carnival City’s Big Top Arena on August 7.

Henry “Herculeez” Fadipe will defend his welterweight title for the first time against Adam “The Prodigy” Speechly, while top contenders Boyd Allen and Barend “BB Gun” Nienaber will battle it out for the vacant featherweight belt.

Fadipe had scorched his way to the top of Africa’s welterweights with crushing defeats over all who had stood before him. He dispatched the legendary Martin “The Punisher” van Staden in the first round, putting him out of action for 10 months with a torn knee.

He obliterated former champion, Michiel Opperman, with a double elbow clubbing to the jaw that knocked him out cold, and dropped champion Dino “The Lion” Bagattin with a first round right hand to take the title.

Tickets are on sale through Computicket and vary in price from R225 to R690 for VIP. All the tickets include an event guide with the fight card and information (valued at R50).
