Clubs ride in aid of East Rand SPCAs

CALLING all motorbike clubs, fanatics and animal lovers to join the East Rand SPCA’s, including Kempton Park SPCA, in a mass ride to raise funds for cats and dogs at the 2014 SPCA Animal Run.

The mass ride, which will start from Edenvale Checkers Hyper at 9am on August 31 and lead to Boksburg City Stadium (Cardinals Baseball Club), is a conglomeration of all the SPCA branches on the East Rand to raise money, which will be divided among themselves.

For just R20, friends and family can enjoy good music, good food and good company with many activities planned for the day at the stadium, including a fleamarket, beer tent and food stalls.

A trophy will also be given away to the biggest motorbike club attending on the day and the winners of the motorbike raffle, where a lucky winner will walk a away with a brand new Kawasaki Ninja 250 Valued at R53 000.

Raffle tickets for the bike can be bought from Kempton Park SPCA at R50 each. The draw will take place on August 31 at Boksburg Stadium Cardinal Baseball field.

Donations of cash, pet food and blankets will be welcome on the day and although the event is all about animals, the SPCA’s do request that pets are not brought to the end venue in Boksburg.
