Sithole aims high for the kids

Local choreographer Godfrey Sithole from Ivory Park, says he wants to share his knowledge with kids and young people in Tembisa.

Sithole (24), told The Tembisan that he learnt most of his art at Orange Farm and had participated in several activities.

“I just want to pass my experience to the kids in my community. My mission is to get young people out of trouble and teach them not to abuse drugs and alcohol. I want to develop help those who are talented to realise their dreams,” he said. His group specialises on different dances like Latin and ballroom, drama and pantsula. One of his products from Ebomine Primary School, Mpho Letswalo, won the Miss June 16 this year. Sithole further said that he wants to produce some of the best dancers in Tembisa.

“I always encourage kids to work hard in order to become succesful adults in the future. Every child has a dream and would want to become better leaders. I am appealing for the support from members of the community to help us to sustain this group. We need a sponsor to help me with music equipment and a place to rehearse. Parents are always welcome to see what their children are good at,” he added.

Sithole concluded by saying that people should think about the needs of their local community and support some of the most vulnerable and neglected young people in the area. They practise from 2h15pm to 3h15pm. Sithole is mostly assisted by school teacher Nozi Nxasana, a choir conductor at the school.
