A woman was sentenced to 12 years imprisonment for killing her boyfriend.
Tshepiso Rakumaku (26) of Namakwaduif Street, Birch Acres stabbed her boyfriend in his upper body on December 29 last year.
She was sentenced in Kempton Park Regional Court on August 12.
Capt Lesibana Molokomme, spokesman for Norkem Park SAPS, said Rakumaku found the deceased drinking with his mates at a pub in Alex Shopping Centre on the corner of Namakwaduif and Geelvink streets. She started hitting him with her open hands and chased him around the shopping centre with a knife in her hand.
Molokomme said the police found the man dead in a pool of blood at the shopping centre. Police officers were able to arrest Rakumaku because of information of eyewitnesses.
