A man (38), who was previously arrested and banned from Emperors Palace, was arrested last week Tuesday after he was found with a stolen computer screen from one of the casino’s hotels.
“An alert security member noticed there was a computer screen missing from one of the hotel’s rooms. On viewing the CCTV footage, they noticed a suspect removing the computer screen and loading it into a VW Golf,” said Capt Jethro Mtshali, Kempton Park SAPS spokesman.
The suspect was identified and traced to his home in Commissioner Street.
A search of the premises was conducted and the missing computer screen was found.
“The man was arrested and it was also established that he’d been recently banned from the casino after he was arrested for trespassing,” added Mtshali.
