Man arrested with stolen Durban car

Norkem Park SAPS also arrested 10 other suspects

A 32-year-old man was arrested in Birch Acres in possession of a stolen motor vehicle at about 4.20am last week Thursday.

According to Capt Lebogang Molokome, spokesman for Norkem Park SAPS, Const Silas Baloyi and another officer were patrolling the area when they were stopped by a car tracking company. The trackers told them they had detected a stolen car at a residence in Klopkloppie Street.

The police woke up the owner of the house after they had found a blue Mercedes Benz, reported stolen at Durban Central Police Station earlier this month, parked in the yard.

The man claimed it was his car.

Norkem Park SAPS also arrested 10 other suspects on charges ranging from possession of illegal substances to general theft last week.
