A suspect in the murder case of a homeless man who was found dead in a veld in Isando on September 6 was arrested last week Monday.
“Det W/O Mostai was assigned the case and received a tip-off about the man who could be responsible for the death of the man,” said Kempton Park SAPS spokesman, Capt Jethro Mtshali.
He followed up on the tip-off and made the arrest in a veld near Edenvale.
“The suspect, a homeless 38-year-old man, confessed to the murder, stating he and the deceased had argued over R20,” explained Mtshali.
The suspect hit the victim with an object on the head and left him in the veld where he was later found dead by police.
