KEMPTON Park SAPS arrested 23 suspects over the weekend for crimes including armed robbery, drunken driving and drug related crimes.
Two men, aged 26 and 31, were arrested after they were tracked down by a man they had robbed earlier in the early hours of Sunday morning.
“According to the victim the two suspects approached him when he was leaving Club 88 on Pretoria Road. One of the men pointed a firearm at him and took his cell phone and cash,” said Capt Jethro Mtshali.
The man followed the robbers. When he saw them walk into Innocent Club near the taxi rank, he alerted the police.
The police responded and arrested the men identified by the victim.
