A 30-year-old Birch Acres man is in trouble with the law after he apparently stole from his wife.

Capt Lesibana Molokomme, spokesman for Norkem Park SAPS, said the man was arrested on Tuesday last week after he allegedly stole R3 500, house keys and a wrist watch from his wife.

She came back at 9pm the previous evening from a church conference. Her husband was already in bed and she hid the items under a pillow.

It was missing the next morning and upon asking her husband about it, he said he never saw it. She found the house keys with him and opened a case of theft.

In an unrelated incident, also on last week Tuesday, Norkem Park SAPS arrested a 39-year-old man at 11pm after he allegedly stole an eight-meter light from the person with whom he stayed with.

The police arrested him not far from the house he ran from in Birchleigh North.
