ELIM Clinic for the treatment of addiction honoured its personnel with long service awards at its yearly thanksgiving service on Wednesday last week.

At the event, members of the board of directors received long service awards for a combined 85 years and personnel for 120 years. Three staff members were honoured for 25 years service.

They are Joseph Matlou, John Slungwane and Adri Dreyer.

CEO, Elize Smith, said the annual thanksgiving was held to thank God for His help and guidance through the year. She said 2013 was a challenging year with a slow economy, a new face in addiction and service providers, as well as a lot of competition.

She said they could achieve success throughout the year because of the many people helping them. She thanked her staff, supporters and donors.

Dr Flip Loots led the church service, reminding people that Jesus Christ came to give people peace and to help them bring their smiles back on their faces.
