A petrol attendant and his friend were arrested after the attendant stole a petrol card from a man’s car.
Capt Lesibana Molokomme, spokesman for Norkem Park SAPS, said the card owner left his car at a car wash at a garage on De Wiekus Road on November 22.
He only realised the petrol card had been stolen from his car when his boss called him two days later, telling him seven transactions to the value of about R3 000 had been made in two days.
Molokomme said the petrol attendant was arrested on November 27 at 11.15am and his friend who allegedly used the card, at a bank at 1pm the same day.
