A 26-year-old man was arrested for possession of suspected stolen goods minutes after breaking into a Norkem Park home.
Capt Lesibana Molokomme, spokesman for Norkem Park SAPS, said police members of sector 2 arrested the man at about 1.30am last week Thursday.
They received a call while on patrol that people were jumping over a wall on the corner of PA van Schalkwyk and Mooirivier street sin Norkem Park. On their way there they spotted two men running along PA van Schalkwyk Street.
The officers gave chase and managed to arrest one of the two. This man had a laptop in his possession. The computer was positively identified by its owner where there was a break-in about 15 minutes before the arrest.
The man and his accomplice apparently gained entry to the house by forcing open a window.
The suspect’s accomplice is still at large.
