
A 15-year-old teenager was arrested after he and two other accomplices robbed six children in Southpansberg Drive on Saturday.
Cobus Heymans of PHS Cops Security said he stopped at the garage along this street to get petrol at about 5pm when the six children, aged between 12 and 15 years, ran to him.
They said the 15-year-old boy and his two friends held them up at knife point and stole their money and cell phones.
He ran after the thieves, stopping the 15-year-old in his tracks with a dive. Heymans found one of the stolen cell phones on him.
The boy’s accomplices are still at large. They disappeared into the vlei close to Van Riebeeck Station.
