The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality confirmed that Eskom’s total control of the load shedding process, known as stage 3 load shedding, has ceased, making way for stage 2 load shedding, thereby allowing municipalities to carry out load shedding according to their schedules.
Accordingly, Ekurhuleni has uploaded its load shedding schedule on the website for residents’ ease of reference.
Citizens who reside in areas which are supplied by Eskom are advised to visit loadshedding.eskom.co.za.
The municipality apologises for the inconvenience caused as most of its services were interrupted by the load shedding process.
