CPF members arrested for burglary

Three members of the Ivory Park CPF were arrested by the police on Thursday last week.

According to the Ivory Park SAPS communications officer, Warrant Officer Neldah Sekgobela, three suspects allegedly committed a house robbery in Kaalfontein, Extension 1, near Ivory Park.

“The victims claim the suspects entered their home and pointed a firearm at the owner. The suspects demanded money and threatened to report the victims to the police, as their are allegations that the victims deal in dagga,” said W/O Sekgobela.

The suspects searched the house and discovered R308. The men then demanded more money from one of the victims. The victim was taken to his house by the suspects, where more money was stolen.

The suspects then fled.

A case of house robbery was opened and the police investigated.

Three men, who belong to the Ivory Park CPF, were subsequently arrested in connection with the robbery.

They are expected to appear in the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court soon.
