A man (24) was arrested shortly after he allegedly robbed and stabbed a man to death in Central Avenue on Saturday.
According to Kempton Park Police spokesman, Capt Jethro Mtshali, the deceased was walking with his brother when they were accosted by two men.
“The man was talking on his cell phone when they were approached by the two suspects. One of them grabbed the cell phone and his brother just heard him scream,” said Mtshali.
It was later established that one of the suspects had stabbed the man with a sharp instrument when they grabbed the cell phone. By the time the ambulance and police were called, the man had died.
“Police were only able to arrest one suspect while the other is still at large,” he said.
