Hole open for more than a year

'I have reported the matter to the council on three separate occasions, with no action forthcoming'

SICK AND TIRED writes:

More than a year ago, a water leak was repaired under the pavement on the corner of Highveld Road and Pascoe Avenue, adjacent to a primary school.

To date, the pavement is still unsurpassable as the excavations have not been filled in and the paving bricks and storm water drain covers have not been replaced.

It means that young primary school learners have to step into the road to get to and from school.

I have reported the matter to the council on three separate occasions, with no action forthcoming. This is a dangerous and unacceptable situation and cannot be tolerated.

Please council, do something!
