Workshop to encourage sustainable activities
The Go Green Tembisa Environment Forum from Ward 11 is inviting local NGOs, ward committees, churches, community leaders and residents to an environmental workshop.
The workshop will be held at the Ndayeni Library Centre on June 7 and will start at 10am.
According to the chairperson of the forum, Mr Vusi Dibane, the aim of the workshop is to revive and encourage the establishment of co-operatives, recycling and food gardening in the ward.
The National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) will also provide information about prospective initiatives, as the workshop will also target up and coming business people.
“We are targeting young people and we encourage them to participate in public meetings,” he said.
