Stabbed to death, dumped in drain
UPDATE: A man between the age of 36 and 40 years was found dead in a storm water drain at Duduza next to Tswelopele extension in the early hours of Wednesday last week.
Some residents at the scene, alleged the man was assaulted and killed by angry residents who claimed the deceased was a thief.
Other community members said the deceased was inside the house as he was visiting his girlfriend.
It is claimed that when the man was grabbed by angry residents, he pleaded with them saying he was only visiting his girlfriend and his identity document was inside the house.
The deceased was allegedly beaten and stabbed in the forehead.

It is also believed his body was dumped in the storm water drain.
Members of Ivory Park SAPS and Ekurhuleni paramedics attended to the scene.
Members from the Germiston Forensic and Pathology Unit transported the deceased to the mortuary.
Ivory Park SAPS communication officer, Warrant Officer, Neldah Sekgobela said a murder case is being investigated.
“The deceased was wearing a black trouser, black t-shirt, blue belt, blue track suit and black tekkies. The police believe the man was murdered as the body had signs of assault on the back and stab wounds on the head. The identity of the man is still not known. We urge members of the public who may have more information on the man’s identity to come forward as well as anyone with information about the incident,” said W/O Sekgobela.
