Film festival to expose local talent

One of the country's best film producers, Mr Themba Masingi, will host the first Themba Masingi Film Festival at Rabasotho Hall on September 24.

Mr Masingi started producing local films in 2009 and has produced more than 15 films to date.

He said all the movies he has produced will be screened live during the festival. The main aim of the festival is to celebrate the life and legacy of Themba Masingi as a local film producer.

“We are calling on all up-and-coming film producers to attend the festival as we will also form the Tembisa Film Club on the same day,” he said.

He added that they will also start classes to teach locals about script writing.

“We are calling on all those who have produced films from January this year to bring them,” he said.

Those who are interested can contact Mr Masingi on 011 057-7028 or 072 752 3209.
