FURTHER investigations by Norkem Park SAPS have led to three more suspects believed to be connected with the attempted cash-in-transit heist at Birch Acres Mall in May being arrested in Rabie Ridge, Midrand.
On June 13 at about 1pm, Det W/O Kenny Mthembu, D/Sgt Lufuno Magaba and D/Const Amukelani Mkhari arrested the three men who were linked to the May 23 attempted robbery. A shoot out between the suspects and the guards ended in the injury of one guard and one of the suspects.
Four of the eight suspects arrested earlier had been released due to lack of evidence. The remaining suspects will make their next court appearance on July 2.
