RESIDENTS with mail boxes at Glen Acres Shopping Centre could not get their mail for more than two weeks as the existing ones were closed while new boxes were being erected.
Mail supervisor of mail collection services, Edwin Maja, said the old mail boxes had to be moved because the centre wanted to expand.
He tried desperately to sort everything out. On Monday morning three of the four new sets of boxes were open. Locks on the fourth set, which were not operating properly, delayed its opening.
Mail is now placed in the new boxes.
Maja said they held on to mail while the boxes were being erected as arrangements with the local post office to leave the mail there, caused problems. He apologised for the inconvenience.
