Members of the Gauteng Flying Squad arrested three suspects, who were found in possession of a stolen motor vehicle in Ebony Park on Wednesday last week.
According to the Ivory Park SAPS communications officer, Warrant Officer Neldah Sekgobela, the officers were patrolling in the area when they managed to track the allegedly stolen vehicle.
“The police found the three suspects washing the stolen vehicle at a car wash. It is believed the white Hyundai, with the registration number CN 50 KK GP, was brought to the car wash by an unknown man. The three suspects are aged between 23 and 24,” she said.
W/O Sekgoberla said the vehicle was hijacked in Boysens. The trio were arrested and detained at the Ivory Park SAPS.
