Company donates nappies

Procter and Gamble donated thousands of nappies to the Zimbanathi project at Ehlanzeni hostel on Thursday last week.

The nappies will be donated to needy children in and around Tembisa.

The company’s spokesperson, Mrs Virginia Masemola, said it was not the first time they have donated to needy communities in Tembisa.

“We have helped a lot of centres in the past few years. We have also been working with Zimbanathi for the past two years,” she said.

Mrs Masemola said the company is partnering with local NGO‘s in Tembisa as it is part and parcel of the company’s social responsibility programme.

“We are ploughing back to the community which has been supporting our business for a long time. As a company, it is also our moral duty to uplift the standard of living in the community,'” she added.

The director of Zimbanathi, Mr Solomon Zimba, thanked the company for its support.

“We feel honoured by this gesture and we hope our relationship with the company will grow to greater heights for the benefit of the poor. We wish them all the best in the future,” he said.
