KEMPTON Park SAPS members have arrested a 28-year-old man on Tuesday afternoon after he was found in a stolen car.
This came after a couple’s Highveld Street home was broken into on June 25.
“According to the victim, he and his wife had gone out during the day and when they returned in the evening, they discovered the sliding door had been tampered with,” said Capt Jethro Mtshali, Kempton Park SAPS spokesman.
The couple realised that the VW Golf that was parked in the garage had been taken along with two cell phones and some cash.
“The registration number was circulated and while patrolling around 2pm in Bonaero Park, members spotted the car parked on the corner of Deodar Street and Great North Road.
The occupant was arrested and will be charged with possession of stolen goods,” added Mtshali.
