Get tested on Madiba Day

The centre will now offer HIV tests along with their other services for unplanned pregnancies

LIFE Link Pregnancy Crisis Centre will celebrate its 13th birthday with HIV tests and counselling, an added service to their clients, which they will launch on Madiba Day.

The centre was opened by Sharon Rushton on July 18, which is not only Mandela Day but also Rushton’s husband’s birthday.

As part of their continued service to women and girls who find themselves dealing with an unplanned pregnancy, Rushton hopes women and girls will be more empowered to take responsibility for their sexual health.

“We’ve been helping women and girls to make informed decisions about their unplanned pregnancies and we’ve added this service to enhance our sexual healthcare service,” said Rushton.

The launch of the HIV testing will take place at their premises on Maxwell Street between 9am and noon on Mandela Day.
