It is believed the suspects robbed the clinic of R77 500. The incident occurred at around 2pm last Saturday.
According to the Ivory Park SAPS communications officer, Warrant Officer Neldah Sekgobela, one of the suspects entered the clinic and pretended to ask for a consultation.
“While the receptionist was busy opening a file for the suspect, another four armed suspects entered the clinic, pushing some of the employees towards her. The suspect she was helping pulled out a firearm and ordered the receptionist to lead him to the safe. It is believed they took all the money in the safe,” she said.
W/O Sekgobela added that the five suspects fled the scene without injuring anyone.
“A case of business robbery was opened. We are appealing to anyone with information regarding the suspects to help the police bring them to book,” she said.
