Two detained for stolen property

The Tembisa SAPS arrested two men aged between 18 and 20 for possession of suspected stolen property.

According to the Tembisa SAPS spokesperson, Constable Tebogo Sesing, the police received information from residents about the suspects who were committing a house breaking in the Emmangweni Section area.

“On arriving at the scene, police officers found two men. They interrogated the suspects who then showed them where the stolen items were being kept. It is believed the suspects kept the stolen items at the Madelakufa Informal Settlement. The suspected stolen property was confiscated and taken to the Tembisa Police Station,” he said.

The suspects were arrested and detained at the Tembisa SAPS. They are expected to appear in the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court on the charge of possession of suspected stolen property.

“I am happy with the arrest. We thank the residents for reacting promptly. We still urge the community to continue giving us information about crime happening in the area. Remember, you are the eyes and ears for the commission of crime in your area,” he told The Tembisan.
