Burnt body discovered
The badly burnt body of an unidentified man was discovered in an open field on June 20.

According to the Tembisa SAPS spokesperson, Constable Tebogo Sesing, the body was found by residents who were gathering firewood in the open veld between the R562 road and M57 roads in Olifantsfontein.
“A 23-year-old man from the Winnie Mandela Informal Settlement claimed he went to the veld to gather firewood with his brother when they discovered the badly burnt body. They called the police for help. It is still unknown who committed the crime,” he said.
Constable Sesing said they are requesting residents to come forward and identify the deceased.
“We urge residents to report information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects. We are also encouraging people who have missing relatives to come forward,” said Const Sesing.

“The identification of informants will not be revealed. Let us work together in combating crime,” said Const Sesing.
