Three arrested in EMPD road block

The three suspects were arrested during a road block conducted by the metro police and found in possession of a car that was reported stolen at Norkem SAPS

THREE men were arrested during a metro police road block after it was discovered the car they were travelling in was reported stolen at Norkem Park SAPS.

The road block was conducted in Orange Farm, south of Johannesburg on July 26, and the suspects were booked in at Norkem SAPS at 11am.

The suspects, two of them from Orange Farm and one from Sebokeng, robbed an Esselen Park home on July 24 at about 4.15am and also stole a Quantum vehicle to use as a getaway car. The car was reported stolen at Norkem SAPS.

The suspects, aged between 29 and 34, appeared in Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court on July 28 where they faced charges of house robbery and theft of a motor vehicle.

In another incident, four people were arrested for drunken driving and one man was apprehended for being in possession of dagga during Norkem Park SAPS patrols on July 26.
