The suspect was arrested at Kanana Section in Tembisa on Tuesday last week.
According to the Rabie Ridge SAPS spokesperson, Constable Jacob Nhlongo, the police received a tip off from residents about the suspected stolen pellet gun.
“On arriving at the scene, officers found the suspect with the weapon. It was later established that the suspect was wanted in connection with a burglary committed in Birch Acres. It is believed the suspect stole the pellet gun from the house in Birchleigh with his accomplice. The suspect’s accomplice was also arrested after being found with other suspected stolen property at the scene,” he said.
The suspects were arrested and detained at the Rabie Ridge SAPS. They are expected to appear in the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court soon.
