A drunken man was arrested after causing a commotion at an Edleen garage in the early hours of the Saturday morning.
According to Const Sharon Mahamba, spokesman for Sebenza SAPS, the police were called to the scene on CR Swart Drive at about 1.20am.
“The man was shouting and causing chaos, demanding that the shop be opened for him,” Mahamba said.
“The 36-year-old man was subsequently arrested for drunken driving by Sgt Jan Mashiloane.
In another incident on the same day, a 25-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving after driving recklessly, skipping several red traffic lights.
The man was travelling along Green Avenue in Edleen at about 4.10am when he was spotted by a sector vehicle patrolling the area.
The man was arrested by Const Rakgotho.
