This man is wanted for armed robbery of a woman’s handbag which contained R1 200.
On June 30, the victim alleges she had just got off a taxi on Pretoria Road and was walking towards Rhodesfield with two other women at about 6.20am, when the man approached her.
According to Capt Jethro Mtshali, spokesman for Kempton Park SAPS, the victim said the suspect pointed a gun at her and demanded her cell phone.
“The suspect then grabbed the woman’s handbag while pushing her at the same time. By this time, the women she was walking with had run away,” Mtshali said.
“The suspect continued to push the woman to the ground, grabbed her handbag and ran away.”
Her handbag contained R1 200, medication and cosmetics.
The woman described the suspect as short and dark in complexion. He was speaking in isiZulu and a little Xhosa. He was wearing a red/orange tracksuit top with a hoodie and blue jeans. The man has a scratch on his left cheek.
