Rapist gets 21 years behind bars
A 19-year-old rapist was sentenced to 21 years in prison for rape and kidnapping .

The sentencing took place at the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court last week.
The man surprised his victim as she was about to go to bed in Phomolong Section, in 2012.
Neighbours heard the woman screaming for help and phoned the police.
The police responded quickly and managed to arrest the man.
After further investigations, it was found that the man had two warrants out for his arrest, both for kidnapping and rape.
The man was sentenced to seven years in prison for each of the rapes and two years in prison for each of the charges of kidnapping. The sentences will run concurrently.
The Tembisa SAPS Cluster’s communications director, Captain Manyadza Ralidzhivha, said the sentence will deter those who are still harbouring ideas of committing crime in Tembisa.
“We shall leave no stone unturned in fighting rapists and other criminals in Tembisa and the surrounding areas,” he said.
