A Glen Marais man had to say his goodbyes to his backyard weed farm after he was caught out by police.
Kempton Park SAPS made the drug bust after receiving a tip off about the dagga plantation.
According to the police station’s spokesman, Capt Jethro Mtshali, W/O André Ferreira and Sgt Carien Schultz of the crime prevention unit made the bust at the man’s home on the corner of Quinine and Brandlelie streets at 7am on September 28.
“The 34-year-old was also found in possession of utensils believed to be used for manufacturing some concoction of drugs in 2l plastic containers. More marijuana was also discovered in his room,” Mtshali said.
The dagga plantation was removed and the suspect will face charges of cultivation of dagga and being in possession of drugs.
