Satellite SASSA office opens at civic centre

The office will be open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays

A satellite SA Social Security Agency Office (SASSA) is now serving the community on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Presidents previously had to go to Modder Bee, Germiston or Midrand where they had to stand in long queues.

During ward 15’s meetings, residents met with Thabo Saul of SASSA, who then organised for the satellite office to be opened at Kempton Park Library at the civic centre.

The following services will be available at the office from 8am to 3pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays: child support grant, foster care grant, older persons grant, war veterans grant and social relief distress grant.

The following services are not yet available: disability grant and care dependent grant.

Doctors appointments still have to be made from Mondays to Wednesdays from 7.30am to 10am at 40 Catlin Street, Germiston.

At Caxton, we employ humans to generate daily fresh news, not AI intervention. Happy reading!
