Suspect found hiding under bed

No stolen goods were found on the suspect

A man was found hiding under a bed, after what was possibly supposed to be a house breaking mission.

The suspect, in his late 20s, had his assignment cut short when the owner of the house came home unexpectedly and he was forced to take hiding under a bed.

Capt Jethro Mtshali, spokesman for Kempton Park SAPS, said: “On September 13 the owner of the house on Monument Road was informed by Chubb Security that a suspected burglary occurred at his home. On arrival at his home the owner noticed that one of the windows was broken. Upon searching the house, he found the suspect crouching underneath his bed.”

The suspect, who hadn’t yet had a chance to steal anything, was arrested at about 9pm.
