The Tembisa SAPS is hunting for six unknown suspects who committed a business robbery in Emfihlweni Section.
According to the Tembisa SAPS spokesperson, Constable Tebogo Sesing, a 27-year-old store manager from Shoprite U-Save in Emfihlweni Section, Tembisa, claimed he was attacked by six men in June.
He was locking up the store in the evening when he was attacked.
“The suspects pointed firearms at the store manager. They took cellular phones and wallets from staff members. The suspects then demanded the keys to the safe and asked where the money was kept. The store manager told the suspects he had no money on the premises. The suspects then assaulted the store manager with their firearms,” he said.
When the suspects realised there were no safe keys on the premises, they fled in a white Toyota Quantum. The registration number of the vehicle is unknown.
Anyone with information about the suspects can contact the investigating officer, Sergeant Mabale, on 011 926-2970 or 072 139 4040. Alternatively, residents contact Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or they can call 112. Information can also be sent via SMS to 32211.
Should residents see the suspects, they should not confront them as they are considered dangerous.
The identification of informants will not be revealed.
